MARIS SAL 1/19
MARIS SAL 1/19
Study Candle · Mineral Study
What water leaves behind.
A clean mineral-floral candle of orange blossom, sel de mer, santal, and coconut, interpreted through linen air, sunlight, and salt left on skin.
Description
Maris Sal begins with salt, but studies the atmosphere carried around it.
Salt is trace. It appears after water has moved away: on skin, along fabric, in the air near an open window, and in the faint mineral dryness left behind by warmth and light. This Study follows that trace through orange blossom, sel de mer, santal, and coconut.
Orange blossom gives the fragrance a pale floral opening, clean and luminous without becoming sweet. Sel de mer brings its mineral clarity. Santal and coconut soften the edges into something warm and fabric-like: not tropical, not beach-bound, but quiet, airy, and close to the body.
When warmed by flame, Maris Sal opens the room. It feels like clean linen stirred by air, white blossom carried gently through light, and the almost invisible presence of salt after water has disappeared.
Maris Sal is salt remembered through air, fabric, and skin.
The Study Ratio
1 focal subject / 19 field elements
Salt interpreted through mineral air, orange blossom, linen, santal, coconut, skin, warmth, evaporated water, and open light.
The Ratio is not an ingredient count. It records the field around the subject: the atmosphere that allows salt to be experienced as more than mineral alone.
